Roman Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph Anoa’i, is a professional wrestler from the United States. He was born on May 25, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida. Reigns comes from a prominent wrestling family, as he is a member of the Anoa’i family, which includes several well-known wrestlers, such as his father Sika Anoa’i and his cousins Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Yokozuna.
Biography:
Roman Reigns began his athletic career in football, playing college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. After college, he briefly played professional football in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars. However his football career was cut short due to injuries, and he decided to pursue a career in professional wrestling.
Reigns signed with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) in 2010 and have assigned to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). In 2012, he made his main roster debut as a member of The Shield, alongside Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
